Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View. As a key member of our instrument room team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sterilization and instrument preparation to ensure the safety and quality of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the instrument room team to ensure efficient and effective operation
  • Develop and implement procedures for sterilization, instrument preparation, and inventory management
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical procedures
  • Conduct quality control checks on sterilized instruments and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument usage, sterilization, and maintenance
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience as an Instrument Room Technician or equivalent
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and instrument preparation
