About the RoleAs a Patient Relations Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments for our patients, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and attention.
- Working closely with our healthcare team to ensure that our patients receive seamless and coordinated care.
- Verifying patient health plan benefits and obtaining authorization as needed, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and coverage.
- Assisting patients with questions and concerns regarding procedures and treatments, providing them with accurate and timely information.
- Requesting medical records from doctors and hospitals, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and attention.
- Calling in new prescriptions and refills and obtaining authorization as needed, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and coverage.
- Obtaining lab results including stat requests, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and attention.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent, with a strong background in customer service and/or a related clinical environment.
- One year of experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
