- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to our clients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and security.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for our clients, adhering to strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or equivalent.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to read and write at a 5th grade level.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and valid car insurance.
