Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance Auditor to join our team. This role will be based in our Woburn, MA facility and is essential in ensuring adherence to our QMS standards across various operational areas.
The QMS Compliance Auditor will conduct thorough audits of programs, processes, manufacturing environments, and engineering laboratories to verify compliance with RTX policies and procedures. The auditing responsibilities encompass planning, executing, reporting, and following up on corrective actions as per our established audit schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
This position necessitates a solid understanding of quality management systems and the application of quality methodologies to guarantee effective process evaluation, control, reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and ongoing enhancements.
Auditors will also mentor cross-functional teams on compliance matters and engage with various stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and RTX leadership, to address compliance status and issues.
Specific duties include:
- Scheduling and conducting audits through interviews, investigations, and assessments of objective evidence.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to plan and execute internal audits.
- Assisting in the coordination of external audits related to the QMS.
- Ensuring timely completion of audits and addressing any identified issues.
- Reporting audit findings, trends in Corrective Action Requests (CAR), and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintaining an audit-ready culture across all sites.
Qualifications:
Applicants typically require a University Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
Certifications such as AATT Certified Quality Auditor, AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification, or equivalent are essential.
Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards and familiarity with aerospace, FAA, and defense regulations is required. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
