Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan patient care needs, implementing evidence-based practices to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering a culture of respect and compassion.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred.
  • Three years of Labor and Delivery or postpartum acute care nursing experience, with a strong foundation in perinatal nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
