As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to advance patient care, education, research, and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance patient care, education, research, and professional practice.
  • Lead the development and execution of high-quality, innovative, and timely educational programs for staff.
  • Oversee clinical competency orientation, professional development of clinical staff, compliance, and professional excellence.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and shared governance councils to design, coordinate, and evaluate a planned program of orientation and ongoing education.
  • Ensure a safe and effective working environment, monitor, and revise the department safety plan as needed.
  • Develop and manage department operational and capital budgets, approvals, and ongoing maintenance of the department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Doctorate preferred.
  • Three years' leadership experience, preferably in an education setting.
  • Five years' experience in education or staff development.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
  • Magnet-L - ANCC Recognized Leadership Certification within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA).
