About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Cardinal of Minnesota, Ltd. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live an independent and inclusive life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support and assistance to clients with their activities of daily living, including personal care and household tasks.
  • Teach, counsel, and advise clients to promote their independence and self-advocacy skills.
  • Act as a positive role model and provide a supportive and inclusive environment for clients.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans that meet the unique needs of each client.

Requirements
  • A sense of humor and the ability to have fun
  • Passion for your work and a desire to make a difference
  • 18 years of age or older and ability to pass a MN Criminal Background Screen; valid Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to walk, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift at least 50 pounds, push, and pull against potential resistance
  • Adequate vision, reading, writing, and documentation skills, and comprehension of the English language, and adequate computer skills
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role
  • Commitment to the mission and core values of COM and ability to actively participate in a team approach atmosphere

We operate 44 residential homes in Minnesota, serving 250 clients and employing a workforce of approximately 425 employees.
