Why This Role Matters

This position plays a critical role in the Insurance and Alternative Solutions (IAS) department, supporting the management of liability claims across North America. In addition to claims management, the successful candidate will utilize the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to create meaningful metrics for various portfolio companies. As an integral part of the team, the Claims Specialist will collaborate with all facets of the Risk Management department. This position is based out of Revantage's offices in Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will assist in claim reporting and management to achieve the most positive claim outcome possible, oversee carrier/TPA management of all claims, and receive and review incident reports in RMIS. They will also act as a liaison between third-party property managers and insurers, ensuring claim reporting processes and procedures are followed by portfolio companies. Additionally, they will participate in quarterly claim reviews and provide loss history when requested from various portfolio companies.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and a minimum of 5-7 years of liability claim handling experience. You must possess strong quantitative skills in insurance and finance, first-class interpersonal skills, and excellent communication, numerical, presentation, and organizational skills. Demonstrating strong teamwork skills, effective reasoning and decision-making skills, and negotiation and investigation skills are essential. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel, is required.
