Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Citrix System Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. The ideal candidate will provide operations support to customers across multiple geographic locations, ensuring the reliability, functionality, and user experience of Citrix VDI environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2 operations support for Citrix technologies, including XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, and StoreFront.
  • Monitor Citrix infrastructure and identify system anomalies to prevent service outages.
  • Collaborate with Engineering staff to plan future modernization efforts and implement version and architectural changes to existing systems.
  • Implement major system upgrades and coordinate with other teams for testing and deployment of Group Policy modifications.
  • Perform periodic backup and restoration of servers, monitor desktop capacity, and coordinate license and certificate renewals.
  • Establish comprehensive availability and capacity management solutions and develop solutions to technical issues.
  • Provide follow-up reports and update troubleshooting and monitoring documentation for 24/7/365 IT watch personnel.
  • Provide mentorship and training for junior team members.
Requirements
  • Experience with interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
  • Experience working as a Tier 2 system administrator with knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies and experience with patch and upgrade methodology for front-end and back-end systems.
  • Experience with rapid testing, validation, and deployment of new baseline images and familiarity with utilizing and supporting Microsoft RDS Host servers.
  • Extensive experience with conducting incident and trend analysis and experience with scripting/automation.
  • Time management skills, strong oral and written communications skills, and a track record of working effectively within a team.
  • Experience with support ticket management systems and experience mentoring others and/or supervising others.
  • Candidate must meet DoD IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) and ITIL Foundations Certification.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 4 years, or education equivalency of Associate's with 8 years of related experience or High School Diploma with 10 years of related experience.
Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship is required, and TS/SCI with Poly is required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a Poly.
