Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Operating Room or Ambulatory Manager/Supervisor, this role is accountable for the efficient scheduling of all surgical procedures through direct communication with surgeons or surgical office personnel. This includes promoting Renown Health's surgical offerings to the medical community as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

This position is tasked with coordinating all surgical cases for the operating rooms across multiple locations. The primary challenge lies in balancing the preferences of physicians and patients while addressing equipment and staffing conflicts.

This role has the authority to prioritize tasks and implement scheduling adjustments to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

It is common to encounter potential risks in the healthcare setting. Some of these risks may include, but are not limited to: radiation, hazardous chemicals, biological threats, heat, noise, dust, and stress. Renown Health has established a Safety Management Program to mitigate these concerns.

Additional related duties, flexible scheduling, and overtime may be necessary.

This position does not involve direct patient care.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or physician office setting is required. Experience in surgical scheduling is preferred.

Must have, or be able to acquire within 90 days, the necessary computer skills to complete online training requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment, among other tasks.
