Job Title: Senior RF Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge RF systems for our Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters
  • Design and optimization of RF circuits, including chains of components and individual parts such as filters, limiters, and couplers
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including power, digital, and mechanical engineers
  • Schematic capture and RF routing
  • Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' of prior work experience
  • Experience with Microwave / RF system, subsystem, and/or component analysis, design, and/or test
  • Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, SystemVUE, and/or MentorGraphics' Xpedition
  • Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges
  • Experience in cost and schedule management
  • Experience in technical/proposal writing and oral presentations
