Job Overview

The Field Sales Representative serves as the gateway for growth of Carolina West Wireless' Clearstream product line. With primary focus on outside selling, lead generation, brand awareness, canvasing, event creation and participation, the Field Sales Representative is the action street team of the Clearstream product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through door to door selling, events, partnerships, community participation, prospecting, networking, leads and referrals
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, schools, realtors, developers and key city and county decision makers
  • Utilize mapping tools and software as well as conduct online research to identify targeted focus areas
  • Survey or canvas select neighborhoods asking for petition for new Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
  • Demonstrate products and services for customers
  • Analyze customer needs, uncover their challenges and present technology solutions that alleviate frustration
  • Seek out, create and actively participate in a wide variety of community events, both pre-existing and self-generated, to increase brand awareness and lead generation
  • Meet and exceed sales targets every month
  • Educate and excite customers about our innovative Clearstream solution
  • Understand needs and assist in developing solutions in the connected home, OTT video, VoIP, WiFi, cloud, security, mobility, and home services spaces
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service, and other internal departments to drive product improvement and to ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Build and refine internal processes for seeking efficiencies in both time and client management
  • Track progress and provide comprehensive reports to key stakeholders as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred; high school diploma/GED required
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • A minimum of 3-5 years related to outside sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience working community events for brand awareness and lead generation that results in sales growth
  • Technology sales and/or home solutions experience preferred
  • Interest and understanding of technology products and services
  • Foundational knowledge of wireless, landline and telecommunications preferred
  • Strong prospecting, sales and negotiating skills
  • Achievement-driven, self-motivated, trustworthy and can quickly adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be positive, authentic, solution-oriented team player with a good sense of humor
  • Strong relationship building skills, coupled with listening and selling skills to help you see the 'big picture' and develop creative solutions to your client's challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include: demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues concisely and ability to create and conduct effective presentations
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Ability to be innovative, strategic and think critically, while also being hands-on with the work
  • Desire to grow personally and professionally
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule that would consist of days, evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to drive to and from meetings within sales territory and other locations as needed for company meetings
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of bending, stooping, lifting, sitting, and standing. Ability to use computer/keyboard and general office equipment, and ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
