Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Key Carrying Lead serves as the in-store authority for their specific business or department.

This role is centered on delivering exceptional service to customers while guiding teammates effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the recruitment and development of a strong team through in-store interviews and departmental tours.
  • Creating a people-first culture by engaging with every teammate to build trust and respect, contributing to a robust store recognition culture.
  • Planning and organizing tasks 30 days in advance with the Assistant Store Manager, ensuring effective approaches and alignment on workforce needs for daily assignments, projects, or store events.
  • Strategically utilizing teammates to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes daily, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Supporting store leadership with general supervision in accordance with company policies, including store opening and closing, cash office functions, and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining merchandising and presentation standards by adhering to established guidelines for floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory.
  • Training teammates on company procedures, including onboarding new hires and cross-training existing staff.
  • Upholding loss prevention standards and controls within the department.
  • Prioritizing the coaching and development of oneself and others, providing hands-on training and explaining the rationale behind tasks and processes.
  • Creating an inclusive environment where all teammates and customers feel welcomed and respected.
  • Adhering to safety and operational procedures, maintaining confidentiality of company information, and supporting the team across the store.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing between 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
  • Capability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifting devices.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive motions for short durations (up to 2 hours continuously).
