Science Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified Science Teacher to join our team at Henrico County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction to meet individual and group learning needs, utilizing state guidelines and division curriculum.

• Instructional Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and division curriculum, ensuring that students meet learning objectives.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and safe learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to measure student learning, and use data to inform instruction.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on student progress and performance.
• Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in science education, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field, with a valid Virginia or out-of-state teaching license.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience in a secondary science setting, with a proven track record of student achievement and growth.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of science curriculum and instructional methods, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.

• Competitive Salary: $54,602 (Bachelor's) - $57,223 (Master's) per year, plus a $3,000 stipend.
