We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory care team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care procedures for critically ill patients, including mechanical ventilation and airway management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient respiratory status.
- Develop and implement education programs for patients, families, and healthcare staff on respiratory care and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize respiratory care services.
- A.S. in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
- One year of clinical training or equivalent experience.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Registration (RRT) by the N.B.R.C. within six months of hire.
- B.S. in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
- Two years of previous critical care experience.
- ECMO experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
