**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our team at IQ-EQ. As a Private Equity and Hedge Fund Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the alternative asset industry.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Client Support**: Provide exceptional support to clients on multiple Private Equity funds within various industries, ensuring timely delivery of client deliverables in accordance with the requirements defined by the limited partnership agreement.
  • **Financial Reporting**: Maintain a working understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply terms to financial reporting and income and expense allocations.
  • **Journal Entries and Calculations**: Prepare and/or review journal entries, management fee calculations, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, investor notices, carried interest calculations, and maintenance of waterfall models.
  • **Client Communication**: Manage the delivery of capital call and distributions notices to clients and the investors.
  • **Financial Statement Review**: Review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • **Year-End Process**: Manage the year-end process and handle requests from external auditors and tax teams.
  • **Operational Effectiveness**: Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions for process development.
  • **Client Information**: Handle daily/routine client information requests and fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • **Work Prioritization**: Manage and prioritize work tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  • **Team Development**: Train and develop junior team members.

**Requirements**

  • **Experience**: 5+ years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of experience at an alternative asset investment firm and public accounting experience.
  • **Analytical and Technical Skills**: Analytical and technical skills with proficiency in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  • **Education**: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • **Client Service**: Ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • **Teamwork**: Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment, provide and accept constructive feedback.
  • **Attention to Detail**: Ability to produce high-quality work product with accuracy and extreme attention to detail.
  • **Time Management**: Ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  • **QuickBooks and Microsoft Office**: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran preferred.
  • **Leadership**: Experience in or desire to manage and train junior team members.
  • **Industry Knowledge**: Experience working on funds in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
