About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Audovisual Systems Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC. As a specialist, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of audiovisual equipment in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems including projectors, microphones, video conferencing systems, displays, and sound systems.
  • Manage and maintain AV equipment inventory, ensuring all systems are functioning properly and ready for use.
  • Provide support for AV system integration, configuration, and management, including control systems like Crestron.
  • Support video production using TriCaster systems for live streaming, recording, and broadcasting events.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure AV needs are met for conferences, training sessions, and other events.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide on-site, real-time troubleshooting and technical support during live events and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of AV system configurations, event setups, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with FEMA's security and operational guidelines.

About You

  • Proven experience as an AV technician, preferably in a government or high-security environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron control systems for AV automation and management.
  • Experience working with TriCaster for video production, live streaming, and broadcasting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software related to AV systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with FEMA staff and external partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
  • Familiarity with government security protocols is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron certification) are a plus.

Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Current clearance (preferred, but not required).
