Position: Senior Inspector for Tanks
Contract Duration: 12-18 Months
Work Schedule: Over 40 hours per week
Global Edge Group is seeking a Senior Inspector for Tanks to oversee a significant LNG project in South Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the EPC contractor and subcontractors meet the project standards, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Supervise Quality Assurance inspections, testing, and verification processes for LNG Tank construction.
- Monitor daily operations, including inspection and test plans (ITPs) for LNG Tanks and associated equipment connections.
- Guarantee compliance with welding procedures, particularly for 9% Ni steel, while overseeing welding and testing personnel.
- Review and validate NDE tests, collaborating with team members to address issues promptly.
- Confirm that the installation of insulation, heat tracing, tensioning cables, and deluge systems adheres to project specifications.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in major oil and gas projects.
- Expertise in construction methods for full containment LNG tank construction, including knowledge of carbon steel, aluminum, and 9% Ni plate erection and welding, roof construction, and hydrotesting.
- Familiarity with specifications, vendor procedures, instructions, and codes, with a working knowledge of API-650, API-620, and API-625.
- Proficient in welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, SAW, and the operation of Automatic Girth Welders, Down Flat Tractors, and automated isolation machines.
- Technical knowledge of LNG tank construction equipment and tools.
