Job Summary

Prisma Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support in our physician specialty practice setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients in the physician specialty practice setting.
  • Function as a clinical and community resource, educator, and consultant.
  • Utilize advanced nursing knowledge and experience to influence nursing practice in assigned settings.
  • Assess and evaluate extensive health histories, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
  • Perform phone triage accurately, involving physicians when needed, and use critical thinking skills to handle patient concerns.
  • Triage current patient populations and incoming referrals, prioritizing scheduling of office visits and testing.
  • Identify learning needs of patients and/or families, and work with team members and community resources to develop and carry out educational plans.
  • Assist with in-office procedures, providing comfort and safety measures for patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety, maintaining a safe environment, and fostering awareness of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Champion the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement projects and policies and procedures specific to the specialty area.
  • Evaluate own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, state statues, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and maintain competency through education and professional activities.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of Clinical Nursing Experience within specialty or related applicable specialty.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • IV insertion and maintenance experience preferred.
