Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary

This position provides clinical nursing support to Williamson Medical Group by communicating with patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs
  • Give patients immunizations and injections as appropriate
  • Counsel patients on health-related issues
  • Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
  • Coordinate referrals to other medical services
  • Secure consultations and specialists
  • Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages
  • Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing
  • Assist physician with med/surg procedures
  • Maintain quality assurance for office lab
  • Observe universal precautions
Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • One year of experience in a medical office environment
  • Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications
