Leidos is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the defense, intelligence, and federal civilian sectors. As a Quantum Communications Scientist, you will play a crucial role in driving cutting-edge research and development in quantum communications protocols and hardware.

We are seeking an experienced researcher with a strong background in quantum optics and communications to join our team at Leidos. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the full life cycle of research & development, from conceptual design to prototype testing and validation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of photonics, quantum information science, and quantum entanglement. They will also possess excellent experimental skills, including designing, simulating, building, characterizing, and analyzing optics/optoelectronics/photonics experiments.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record of publishing research papers and presenting findings at conferences. They will also be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In addition to their technical expertise, the selected individual will demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and departments.
