Purpose: Engage with the Advanced Technology Team to contribute to the development and enhancement of both new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer technical assistance to engineers in the creation and evaluation of new power electronic designs for Lincoln's Advanced Technology offerings.
- Utilize expertise to support the design of innovative welding apparatus.
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
- Assemble and integrate prototype electronic circuits into machinery.
- Operate fundamental laboratory equipment, including meters, oscilloscopes, and temperature recorders (training provided as necessary).
- Execute a diverse range of design verification and compliance assessments.
- Collect, maintain, compile, and manipulate technical data.
- Generate comprehensive documentation of test outcomes and various investigations.
- May oversee projects or specific project phases within a larger initiative or hold accountability for ongoing tasks or objectives.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed in alignment with the Company's strategic goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level I: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology
- Level II: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology & 3+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in a related field & 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Level III: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology & 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in a related field & 7+ years of relevant experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Comprehension of the functionality of basic electronic components, such as transistors and operational amplifiers.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and various meters.
- Skilled in utilizing basic hand and power tools for assembly and analysis tasks.
- Competent in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with CAD software; willingness to learn SAP.
- Capability to perform hands-on tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Adept at managing a dynamic set of priorities.
- The selected candidate's Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
