A prestigious hospital in Long Island, New York, is seeking a highly qualified Chair of Psychiatry to lead their esteemed department. This exciting opportunity combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, offering a unique blend of challenges and rewards.

Key Highlights:
  • Option for Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), or a mix of both
  • 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday schedule
  • Optional in-house call
  • 36-bed IP unit
  • Partial day program & addiction program
  • Child/adolescent outpatient services
  • Collaborative team of 15 physicians and NPs
  • Must have prior director and academic experience
  • Board certification required
  • Competitive base salary + annual bonus

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong clinical background, and a passion for academic medicine. As Chair of Psychiatry, you will be responsible for overseeing the department's clinical and administrative functions, while also contributing to the hospital's academic and research endeavors.
