Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in fostering a friendly and supportive atmosphere for patients, families, and visitors while executing essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with patients and their families to gather necessary demographic and financial details.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information and communicate financial responsibilities to patients or their representatives.
- Collect payments on the same day of service.

This role is located within a healthcare facility and requires availability on Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM and Saturdays from 7 AM to 7 PM. A PRN (as needed) position is also available.

Essential Duties:
- Uphold the company’s values in all interactions.
- Greet patients, families, and visitors courteously and assist them as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of patient information entered into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Prioritize tasks through RIS management to meet current and future patient examination requirements, including requesting clinical information and correcting data entry errors.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively address potential service recovery issues.
- Handle scheduling calls for walk-in patients and those referred by physicians directly to the center.
- Collaborate with the Center Manager and front office team to achieve monthly financial goals through effective patient financial responsibility collection.
- Schedule and confirm walk-in diagnostic exams and procedures.
- Act as a liaison for centralized services, including insurance authorizations.

Inventory Management:
- Assist in inventorying and preparing orders for supplies as needed.

Patient Communication:
- Complete CD burning requests for patients and physicians.
- Clearly communicate any financial responsibilities to patients or their representatives.
- Address patient experience and customer service concerns with composure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of company policies and adherence to HIPAA and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to change.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
- Commitment to providing high-quality customer service with integrity and compassion.
- Ability to manage service recovery issues effectively.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of experience in an office setting within the healthcare industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Proficient use of office equipment such as computers, fax machines, telephones, and copiers.
- Ability to engage in computer-related activities for extended periods.
- Must possess the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and perform data entry tasks.
