Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Service Advisor to join our Donor Relations Department. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in assisting in the process of donor retention by calling to thank donors, responding to prayer requests, and encouraging their participation in special fund-raising events.
Key Responsibilities- Making follow-up calls to thank donors and discuss special appeals
- Inquiring about donor prayer needs and praying with donors
- Responding to prayer requests and offering to pray with donors
- Responding to questions and inquiries from donors
- Sending information to the Manager for forwarding to the appropriate department
- Sending information for donor-requested materials to the Department Manager
- Making appropriate notations in Donor Direct/Synthesis following calls to donors
- Sending special cards to donors as required
- Calling donors to confirm receipt of invitations to special events and facilitate their attendance
- Reviewing calling instructions and staying current on Food for the Poor's programs and services
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned by the Donor Relations Manager
- Minimum high school diploma
- Two years of related experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
- Fundraising skills
- Ability to pray with donors
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent telephone communication and listening skills
