Snelling - Birmingham is seeking experienced Industrial Coating Specialists to join our team. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate proficiency in the painting and blasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure only properly prepared components are accepted for coating.
- Manually transport parts through the various stages of the coating process, including painting, flashing, and drying.
- Oversee the complete coating process, which includes:
- Mixing paints and solvents in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Operating automated mixing machinery correctly.
- Applying liquid coatings to meet precise specifications using both electrostatic and conventional spray equipment.
- Ensuring parts remain in the flashing and drying areas for the required duration.
- Conducting inspections of completed work and making necessary adjustments.
- Performing routine cleaning and flushing of paint and solvent delivery systems as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance of all coating equipment as per established schedules or as part of the operational workflow.
- Provide assistance across all functions of the coating line as required.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform physically demanding repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work while wearing protective gear, including respirators.
- Must successfully complete a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Vocational training in industrial or automotive painting or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
