Job Overview

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Establishment of a thorough framework for gathering, monitoring, evaluating, and acting upon Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.
  • Demonstrated enhancement (decrease) in the frequency of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) for issues addressed by CAR teams.
  • Essential personnel in each operational division are proficient in executing, assessing, and taking suitable measures on capability assessments, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R), and setup optimization.
  • Gage R&R evaluations are being conducted in each operational sector as necessary.
  • Advancements in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and the level of problem-solving strategies employed within the APQP framework.
  • Training and educational initiatives are aligned with the Continuous Improvement Program, introducing innovative techniques and/or applications to processes.
  • Accomplishment of defined targets.
  • Execution of Quality Assurance policies and directives from the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Evidence of Continuous Improvement/Waste Reduction must be documented for inclusion in formal performance assessments.
  • Timely monthly reports detailing activities, including documentation of waste reduction and continuous improvement efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in mechanical technology is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality System standards is essential.
  • Understanding of the philosophy, principles, and objectives of the total quality management process is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, from floor staff to senior leadership, are required.
  • Knowledge of interpersonal relations, group dynamics, and problem-solving methodologies is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity in problem-solving and group dynamics, coupled with a high level of initiative.
  • Laboratory experience, particularly in metallurgy, is advantageous. SQE / ASP or ASME certification is also preferred.
