Job Summary

The Project Manager, Construction Oversight, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the completion of construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing all aspects of a single, large project, including cost control, schedule management, subcontractor/supplier/labor relations, document control, and ensuring the day-to-day functions of the project are successfully completed without errors or omissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the completion of construction projects
  • Manage all aspects of a single, large project, including cost control and schedule management
  • Ensure the day-to-day functions of the project are successfully completed without errors or omissions
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure project completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, scheduling tools, and programs
  • Verify project costs are properly controlled and forecasted
  • Review and approve payment applications and ensure funds are dispersed promptly and accurately
  • Coordinate punch-out, pre-final, and final acceptances
  • Provide notices as required to document substandard performance by subcontractors
  • Develop direct reports by monitoring performance, reviewing evaluations, and mentoring
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in residential and mixed-use building construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration, or relevant major preferred
  • Scheduling and Job Cost software preferred (Primavera/P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and financial reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, retain accuracy, and meet project deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Capable of leading, training, and encouraging a staff of project management professionals
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills
