Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including taking medical histories, administering screening questionnaires, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory tests, and instruct patients about medication and special diets.
  • Prepare and administer medications, including vaccinations and immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider.
  • Transmit prescription refills, take electrocardiograms, and perform wound care and dressing changes.
  • Order clinic supplies, perform inventory, and stock rooms, and perform daily quality control checks of laboratory devices.
  • Perform refrigerator maintenance tasks and sterilize instruments as per policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed Medical Assistant program from an accredited school.
  • 2 years of customer relations job experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
