Cybersecurity Governance Leader for Regulated Financial Institutions

State Street Corporation is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to serve as the Head of Cybersecurity Governance, Regulatory Compliance and Issues Management. This critical role will ensure the organization's cybersecurity program operates with transparency, accountability, and alignment with regulatory and business priorities.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards. They will also manage the lifecycle of issues and risks that impact the organization's risk and security posture.
- Defining and maintaining the organization's cybersecurity governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Leading the development of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring consistency across all subs and affiliates.
- Overseeing the cybersecurity stakeholder management plan, driving decision-making, tracking accountability, and fostering stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks. They will serve as the primary liaison with the regulatory management and compliance functions, ETRM, and Corporate Audit on matters of cybersecurity compliance.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of evolving regulatory landscapes and proactively adapting policies, standards, and controls to meet new requirements.
The successful candidate will establish and oversee a centralized cybersecurity issues management program, tracking and resolving issues related to risks, audits, and compliance.
- Working across other functions to identify, assess, prioritize, and close cybersecurity issues.
- Developing processes to escalate critical issues, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with the Issues Management Standard.
- Providing regular reporting and actionable insights to the GCS Leadership team on issue and remediation progress.
