  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data engineering processes for improved performance and efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to various IT/IS colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified in IBM Cognos, IBM Certified Data Engineer or similar certification preferred or the commitment to obtain certification within the first 90 days.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar position, with a focus on the IBM Cognos platform.
