Senior Distribution Engineer

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Distribution Engineer to join our team in the greater Portland or Salt Lake City area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and preparing distribution voltage construction packages for overhead and underground projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop detailed construction packages for distribution projects, adhering to client standards and industry specifications.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure compliance with engineering and construction standards.
- Utilize software such as PLS-CADD, O-Calc, SPIDA-Calc, or PoleForeman to design distribution projects with precision and accuracy.
- Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis, guying calculations, and voltage drop and flicker analysis.
- Interface with project management and designers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with stakeholders, including the supervising engineer, client, and other team members.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in distribution design or a similar role with a utility or consulting engineering firm.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power flow.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Experience with distribution design and construction standards for PacifiCorp.
- Ability to develop and maintain PLS-CADD models to support electric distribution design.
- Experience leading technical teams.
