Job Overview

Position Summary
This role encompasses the ownership of mechanical components within the turbine rear frame for both innovative and established programs. The selected engineer will collaborate within a mechanical sub-team and engage with various design and manufacturing disciplines, including subject matter experts in manufacturing, systems engineering, mechanical analysis, thermal dynamics, and aerodynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct the design, analysis, or assessment of assigned projects, employing sound engineering principles while adhering to industry standards and product requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of a specific technical field, leveraging prior experience and technical knowledge to implement strategies effectively.
  • Possess a deep understanding of key business drivers and utilize this insight to enhance personal contributions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to propose alternative solutions within defined parameters, with guidance as necessary.
  • Utilize technical skills and analytical thinking to address challenges, drawing from multiple internal resources to inform decision-making.
  • Act as an individual contributor with strong interpersonal skills or as an emerging leader capable of nurturing talent within the team.
  • Provide informal mentorship to new team members.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Proficient in ANSYS APDL/Workbench with the capability to run independent models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
  • Skilled in documentation, planning, marketing, and executing engineering programs.
  • Established project management capabilities.
