Job Summary

NurseStaffing is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced medical imaging environment. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate complex medical procedures into clear and concise language for patients, alleviating anxiety and ensuring informed consent.
  • Perform a variety of X-ray exams in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Position patients for radiographic procedures, adhering to departmental standard operating procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Recognize and promptly report any patient motor abnormalities, including fainting, discoloration, or contrast reactions, to the radiologist.
  • Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape, ensuring seamless data management.
  • Utilize film markers and ensure images are properly labeled with correct date and patient identification, maintaining accurate records.
  • Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisitions, ensuring comprehensive patient records.
  • Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Perform related duties as required, adhering to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Licensed technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
  • Vaccinated for Influenza, seasonal
