Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist II, you will be responsible for providing clinical Speech Pathology services to adults and pediatric caseloads at various levels of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic assessments of communication disorders, including disorders of speech, language, fluency, voice, cognition/memory, and swallowing.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and intervention strategies based on evaluation results.
  • Provide therapy services for remediation of communication disorders and/or dysphagia.
  • Ensure patient and/or family education regarding communication disorders, and/or dysphagia.
  • Recommend and follow through with discharge planning regarding communication disorders and/or dysphagia.
  • Perform operational duties, including patient scheduling, completion of patient notes and reports, maintenance of patient files, completion of patient charges, and recording of hours worked and mileage records.
  • Conduct continuing education/inservice activities for departmental staff, hospital personnel, contract agencies, and community groups as requested.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional interactions with patients, visitors, families, staff members, and medical staff.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • State of Iowa Speech licensure and meet required standards of professional education.
  • CPR certification.
