Job Summary

Columbia University is seeking a highly skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for generating high-quality fusion images for diagnostic and research purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Review patient medical history to understand their illness and pending diagnostic procedure
  • Instruct patients before, during, and following procedures
  • Evaluate patient preparation and recognize emergency conditions
  • Administer injections and perform quality control
  • Participate in radiation safety protocols and quality assurance projects
  • Collaborate with other technologists, students, and personnel
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
  • Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Active New York State licenses in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience with Computed Tomography (CT) and radiation safety
Working Conditions

This is a regular, full-time position with a standard work schedule. The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, and walk intermittently throughout the day, and may be required to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
