We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Plumas District Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Services team, you will work closely with our Emergency Department Physician to provide high-quality patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Triage patients seeking medical care in our Emergency Department, assigning appropriate ESI acuity levels and maintaining knowledge of Nor-Cal EMS Trauma Triage Criteria.
- Follow policies and procedures related to EMTALA compliance for treating all patients, including documentation and requirements for patient transfers.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide ED nursing care, including administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating a plan of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and provide education to patients and/or significant others.
- Successfully complete competencies for this position and meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current California RN license required. Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE preferred.
- Minimum of one year ED or critical care nursing experience within the last five years preferred.
