We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Generac Power Systems, a leading energy technology company committed to powering a smarter world.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing system tests, ensuring compliance with production and quality standards, analyzing failure modes, and performing minor repairs in the workstation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company and site safety and quality policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to 5S standards.
  • Follow established procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Use standard work, programs, and work instructions to test all products, models, and/or subassemblies.
  • Interpret schematics and drawings to properly test all products.
  • Troubleshoot and document all product, models, and/or subassemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Perform minor repairs per work instruction/standard work within takt time; refer major repairs to appropriate resources.
  • Collaborate on improving processes, lead times, productivity, and cost using the DTZ process.
  • Obtain and renew safety certification as needed to properly move and/or test all products, models, and/or subassemblies.
  • Additional duties as assigned, including flexing to other departments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of product testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate countermeasures.
  • Intermediate PC knowledge.
  • Understand the testing process.
  • Perform basic reading and math functions.
  • Perform basic manufacturing assembly skills.
  • Work in a team environment effectively.
  • Model positive and professional work ethic.

  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Contributes to identifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
  • Ability to identify problems.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of product testing and generator assembly.
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical assembly skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Models positive and professional work ethics.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
