Key Responsibilities- Assist senior technicians in examining customer vehicles and identifying necessary repairs.
- Participate in estimating costs and performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Document services performed and maintain accurate records.
- Utilize available technologies to enhance customer experience and improve efficiency.
- Learn and follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in required training and development programs.
- Record hours worked accurately in company timekeeping systems.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate the company's core values and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Technical training or commensurate technical experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Eligibility for NAPA training, manufacturer training, and state inspection/emissions training (if applicable).
- Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
This position requires regular and predictable attendance, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent interactions with customers, service advisors, and senior technicians. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of physical positions.
