The Clinical Affairs Manager will provide clinical expertise and support to various departments within Teleflex, including clinical sales specialists, sales teams, regulatory, engineering, marketing, and other corporate departments. The primary focus will be on the safe and effective use of the Interventional product portfolio, with a particular emphasis on the Coronary franchise.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and support business unit field efforts for the Coronary franchise through clinical and educational customer needs assessment, product and procedural training, live case coverage, and customer follow-up as needed.
- Maintain and develop expertise on the Interventional product portfolio, with a focus on the Coronary franchise and specific clinical specialty areas.
- Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation on best practices, and timely professional follow-up.
- Support Coronary educational programs with aligned educational goals and needs of the Interventional Business Unit.
- Support scientific exchanges of information with medical societies, including pre-conference and in-booth educational programs, meetings with scientific committees, education grant support, and research submissions.
- Primary responsibility for North America, with assistance on international projects as assigned.
- Provide off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy and local legal regulations.
- Manage utilization of healthcare professionals in accordance with Teleflex's Interactions with Healthcare Professionals Policy.
- Coordinate efforts between cross-functional partners, including Medical Affairs, Global Research & Scientific Services, marketing, and R&D.
- Coordinate, participate, and manage educational and scientific activities at local, regional, and national tradeshows and exhibitions.
- Serve as a clinical expert on product applications and troubleshooting, interfacing with SBU leadership, clinical sales specialists, and Teleflex team members.
- Participate as a clinical expert on project teams, committees, and meetings with various corporate departments to provide guidance on clinical perspectives for the Coronary franchise.
- Build and support infrastructure for speaker programs, webinars, training content, and programs.
- Coordinate and participate in content development and review of educational materials as needed by the Interventional Business Unit or Clinical Affairs.
- Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, including adherence to Teleflex's Medical T&E policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive procedural experience within Interventional Radiology.
- Minimum five years' clinical exposure in the medical field in the Coronary environment.
- Minimum of five years in the Medical Device industry supporting Clinical and Medical Affairs, strongly preferred.
- Clinical proficiency in the area of clinical training and experience with Coronary required, and at least one other Teleflex Interventional franchise preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Effective time-management and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Pro-active and results-oriented.
- Strong research, logic, and reasoning ability.
- Clinical proficiency in the area of clinical training and experience with products in the Interventional franchise.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct business in an ethical manner.
- Strong understanding of principles used to find, analyze, and assess clinical studies and apply them in the application of Teleflex Medical products.
- Ability to read, understand, and abide by company procedures.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and report on findings.
- Must be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials to work in hospitals and other medical facilities as an essential function of the job.
- Ability to work successfully in a home office environment.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including international and overnight travel.
