About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engine Feature Test and Calibration Engineer to join our team at LER TechForce. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for testing and calibrating engine features to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve engine performance issues.
  • Tune combustion controls, engine protection, and governor calibrations to optimize engine performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine performance issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Perform engine performance validation on controls software and calibration to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Support installations at OEM and distributor sites, as well as field test trips to ensure successful deployment of engine features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support calibration releases and integration activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Project management experience and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Matlab Simulink and C programming languages.
  • Experience with Excel Macros (VBA) and data analysis tools.
  • Fundamentals of control systems and experience in tuning and calibrating customer features on engines or transmissions.
  • Good understanding of vehicle hardware and systems, project management experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Datalink protocols such as J1939 and CANC communication networks.
  • Ability to collect and analyze CAN Trace files.
  • Experience with Matlab, Simulink, CANalyzer, Calterm, and MS-Office.
  • Awareness and knowledge of Cummins internal tools such as C2ST, Windchill RV&S.
