Position Overview:


Are you meticulous, organized, and committed to upholding the highest standards in healthcare? We are looking for dedicated professionals to enhance our dynamic sterile processing team.

This role involves overseeing the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies managed by the department.

The individual will assist with clerical tasks and inventory/supply management, working under the guidance of the Sterile Processing Coordinator and the Director of Surgical Services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols and standards.

- Inspect, assemble, and package instruments and equipment for sterilization, ensuring proper functionality and completeness.

- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, sonic cleaners, and gas sterilizers, adhering to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.

- Monitor sterilization processes, including time, temperature, and pressure, to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.

- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies and equipment for procedures.

- Engage in quality assurance and infection control initiatives, including routine inspections and audits.

- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols consistently.

- Attend training sessions and stay informed on new techniques, equipment, and regulations related to sterile processing.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sterile processing or a healthcare environment preferred but not mandatory.

- Understanding of sterilization techniques, equipment, and infection control principles.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse staff members.

- Capability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.

Credentials:
- Sterile processing certification preferred.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in sterile processing preferred.

Compensation:
- Starting at USD $17.50/Hr.
