Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review various tax reports for state and local compliance, as well as other areas of tax compliance.
- Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, updates, and revisions, and inform management of any issues affecting FIS.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies, and reconcile year-end balances and recover any tax overpayments.
- Request refunds for dual taxation, incorrect assessment, and exempt property.
- Assist with tax audits and work directly with leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local income, use, and sales tax concepts, practices, and procedures for multiple entities in multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.
