As a leading fintech solutions provider, FIS is seeking a skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review various tax reports for state and local compliance, as well as other areas of tax compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, updates, and revisions, and inform management of any issues affecting FIS.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies, and reconcile year-end balances and recover any tax overpayments.
  • Request refunds for dual taxation, incorrect assessment, and exempt property.
  • Assist with tax audits and work directly with leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local income, use, and sales tax concepts, practices, and procedures for multiple entities in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality, with the ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
