Bard Early Colleges is seeking an experienced educator to serve as the Science Department Chairperson. This leadership role will play a critical part in shaping the educational experience of our students and supporting the growth and development of our faculty community.

About the Position:

The Science Department Chairperson will be responsible for supervising the Science department, coaching faculty in Science, ensuring the curriculum and State standards are followed, preparing evaluations as required, and providing support with administration of district, state, and College Board testing.

Requirements:

  • ">">
  • New Jersey Department of Education Supervisor Certificate or New Jersey Department of Education Standard Principal Certificate">">
  • New Jersey Department of Education Certificate in Supervisor (0106) or 0200 Principal Standard (0200)">">
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university">">
  • Minimum of three (3) years successful experience in teaching the related content area or related experience">">
  • Knowledge of New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for curriculum assessment and instruction">

Benefits:

Bard Early Colleges offers a competitive salary range of $92,000 to $132,344 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Location and Start Date:

This full-time position is located at Bard High School Early College in Newark, NJ, and is expected to start Summer 2024 or Fall 2024.
