Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull various weights regularly, with frequent lifting of 25-50 pounds. Candidates should be prepared for prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, and may encounter exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.

Work Schedule:

Availability to work two 12-hour shifts every weekend from 3 PM to 3:30 AM is essential. This position qualifies for a weekend premium pay structure.

Job Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Services department, you will provide comprehensive care to adult patients aged 18 and older. The Emergency Department encompasses multiple areas including triage, express care for low-acuity patients, an acute care section for common emergencies, and critical care for severely injured individuals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and documenting patient care.
  • Developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
  • Delivering direct patient care and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Training and supervising Nursing Care Technicians.
  • Collaborating with medical staff to enhance patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of patient care principles, possess excellent critical thinking abilities, and have basic computer skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues. The candidate should be organized, proactive, and confident in advocating for patients' needs while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Supervisory Duties:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and at least one year of nursing experience are preferred.
