As a Medical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing medical social services to patients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of healthcare and find support in times of need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical social services to patients and their families, including assessing their social and emotional needs and developing coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop a comprehensive plan of care that addresses the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to address bereavement needs, including establishing a plan of care that addresses bereavement needs with clear delineation of services to be provided and frequency of service delivery.
  • Supervise the provision of bereavement services and instruct healthcare team members on community resources available to assist patients.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
  • One year of social work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
