We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at John Muir Health. As a Pharmacist in our Infusion Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective use of medications and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Verify medication orders and assess for optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, and effective administration.
- Interact with patients, family, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of services and achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and assume essential responsibilities of pharmacy management in their absence.
- Lead pharmacy services in a clinical or operational area of the health system and provide expertise and oversight to staff.
- Pharmacist licensure in California and current registration with the California Board of Pharmacy.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited General Practice Residency (PGY1) program.
- Experience in healthcare, infusion pharmacy, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of solid tumors, hematology, and common treatments.
- Ability to educate, monitor, order, and follow labs for patients on chemotherapy regimens.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in oncology pharmacy or a related field.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Advanced Practice Pharmacist License.
This position will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the effective use of medications.
Pay and BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate of $114.26, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
