Job Overview: PRN Physician Specialist
This position requires a Board Certified physician specialist in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). The primary responsibility involves conducting medical evaluations, primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments such as range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation. The exams will cover General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical evaluations on a PRN basis, with ongoing need.
- No call or weekend obligations are required.
- Exams will involve a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular conditions is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must own a personal laptop (PC) and meet the following qualifications:
- Board Certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R.
- DMA certification available, enabling CME credits upon privilege or existing certification.
- Use of Goniometer required.
Additional Benefits and Considerations:
The selected candidate will receive training on Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). Evaluations will be completed through the provider's portal, with records reviewed accordingly. A total of five providers are needed for this role. The selected professional will have access to ongoing support and development opportunities within the organization.
