Job Summary

The Mechanical Foreman will oversee a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring the efficient operation of electro-mechanical systems across our data centers. This role requires a strong background in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, with a minimum of five years of experience in the trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a crew of journeyman and apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Perform break-fix tasks on all electro-mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydronics, appliances, and more.
  • Conduct spill and leak detection system inspections and repairs, ensuring the integrity of our systems.
  • Maintain and commission hydronic rack cooling systems, including Deschutes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and hydronic systems, including pumps, strainers, and cooling towers.
  • Coordinate team scheduling and material requisition, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Contribute to site failure reporting, providing critical information for equipment status logs.
  • Support mechanical projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Clean In Place on heat exchangers, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Inspect and clean chiller tubes, maintaining system efficiency.
  • Perform site plumbing maintenance and repair, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Maintain eyewash stations and showers, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Perform forklift maintenance, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  • Perform gas valve PMs, ensuring system integrity.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in the trade, with a strong background in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Unlimited Mechanical or Contractor's license, required for this role.
  • Formal training in approved vocational schools, covering the fundamentals of the trade.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance, with regular physical activity.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, using both arms and legs.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds, with regular lifting and carrying.
  • Ability to reach with both hands and arms, with frequent reaching and handling.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects, with regular manual dexterity.
  • Ability to smell, talk, and hear, with regular sensory demands.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel, and type, with frequent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to see at close and distance ranges, with regular visual demands.
  • Ability to work inside and outside, with regular exposure to varying environments.
