Job Description

This Senior Risk Manager, Data Protection position plays a critical role in our second line of defense function, Technology Risk Management (TRM). You will be responsible for providing expert advice, credible challenge, and effective advisory and oversight of technology and cyber risks.

You will collaborate closely with associates in operational divisions, first line Cyber, Technology, lines of business, and other second line of defense risk management offices to evaluate the effectiveness of our cyber controls infrastructure and offer independent advice on ways to further mature our cyber risk management capabilities.

This role requires an expert with hands-on cybersecurity technical and operational experience who can leverage their expertise in a risk management organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use technical skills and cyber subject matter expertise to provide effective oversight, credible challenge, and expert advice to help manage and control risk associated with cyber operations.

The Senior Risk Manager, Data Protection will play a key role in reviewing, identifying, assessing, reporting, and challenging cybersecurity controls, operational capabilities, and associated processes. This individual will provide subject matter expertise and oversight and effective challenge of key cybersecurity domains such as tokenization and encryption.

You will also stay current on emerging cyber threats and potential implications to the firm and collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or enterprise data management
  • At least 2 years of audit, risk management, program management, or technology leadership experience
  • Preferred qualifications include consulting experience, driving enterprise remediation efforts, team leadership, and professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
